Tour of Colts Neck Photos are here! The day started in clouds and mist, but ended with warm sun when the Cat 3 field set off.

The course always proves to be a challenge, and it was a day of mixed fortunes for Team Norwood with Pedro Romeiro capturing an impressive win in the Cat 5 race, while others fell victim to mechanical problems.

Check out the Video & Audio page for this large photo gallery.

New video is posted! See action from the final spring race at the PNC Arts Center on April 13th. It looks like warmer weather is finally here, and Saturday was a beautiful day for the Cherry Blossom Challenge where Carl Maslag’s strong breakaway effort earned a second place for the Norwood squad.

Look for the cameras at some of the upcoming races in the next few weeks!

Sunday’s final edition of the PNC series featured a solid prize list and great races, making it a perfect opportunity for video and photos. Team Norwood had an outstanding day, starting with the Cat 4/5 race where a huge team effort resulted in a one-two finish by Pedro Romeiro and Luciano Bezerra. On to the Cat 3/4 race and another sprint finish, Luciano took second again and Carl Maslag finished in the money in 8th place!

Check out the new photo gallery from the race, and stay tuned for the first video of 2008 which should be up by this weekend.

Riders at the Pinecone Road Race today were treated to a Belgian morning complete with rain, cold, and wind, perhaps in honor of today’s Tour of Flanders. In the Cat 4 race, Norwood’s Tony Paone and John Smertneck rode solid in the field with Tony taking 12th in the sprint.

Yesterday’s Sandy Hook Time Trial featured a lot of strong rides, particularly Norwood’s TT beast Ati Bekes. See a new photo gallery from the TT, on a surprisingly sunny and warm day for this race.

March is nearly over and the action is starting to heat up on the roads.  This weekend it was back to PNC for the next to last race of the series.  The Sunday slugfest brought out the majority of Team Norwood, putting stong numbers in the Cat 4/5 and 3/4 races.  In the 4/5, Pedro Romeiro captured third, moving him into second in the overall points total.  Bill Wisse also took a third in the 3/4 race, with good performances by the team all around.

Check out new photos from the 40+ race, and stop by the cyclysm page to see some new links for diet and nutrition.  And be sure to visit PelotonEast.com for John's rider diary and more in-depth talk on the local racing scene.

The season is on!  On the first weekend brave riders headed out in the elements at Branch Brook on Saturday, and others raced for the first time in Holmdel on Sunday.

Team Norwood made its 2008 debut at the PNC Arts Center race, with Bill Wisse and Rich Patterson leading the way with 3rd place finishes in the 35+ and Cat 5 events.

New photos are now up from Sunday's race.

We are also pleased to announce the start of The Jerseyrider Project, an upcoming feature presentation about amatuer cycling.  In this first installment, Elaine Molinaro conducts an interview with a first look at upcoming film.  See the Video and Audio page for links.
